Do not seek fruit out of season.
Learn to be patient with yourself and with God as He works in you to do and to will according to His good pleasure and kingdom purpose – Philippians 2:12-13.
It’s the living operation of the Word of God which works constantly in our lives to transform us into the glory and the likeness and image of the risen Christ. We learn to enter His rest as we realize His Holy Spirit operations in us because without Him we can do nothing. We rest in the fact that all things works together for our good as long as we live and walk and focus on Him in humble dependency.
We rest in His all-sufficiency when He shows us that in our weakness, He will be the strength that we need and that He will faithfully carry us through everything that might come against us. We labor through the strength and ability which He provides until He has brought us to the full end of ourselves, for we are His workmanship.
Our end is His beginning.
It is the power of God which works in us until He presents us before himself as the fully matured, fully restored, recreated glorified Adam in the likeness and image of His firstborn Son. His purpose is to bring many sons into the glory of manifest sonship.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Hebrews 4:10 For he that is entered into His rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from His.
11 Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
He is the divine faithful Potter and we are as the clay before Him and He will complete the good work which He started in you.
We grow in seasons, first as a baby, then into a developing child until He brings forth the fruits of righteousness in us through the Father’s discipline Hebrews 12.
A child can only be to where it has grown, so don’t try to be what you are not through ungodly legalistic performance, but grow patiently and gracefully from glory to glory and from strength to strength.
Philippians 3:16 Nevertheless, to what we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
We are called to walk as Jesus walked by the inspiration, the power and operation of His Holy Spirit.
We bring forth fruits in season as we learn to abide in Him daily as we read in Psalm 1:
1 Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law does he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.
Father it is my earnest prayer and petition that You multiply Your mighty grace through the operations of Your Spirit in us, until we stand before You and hear You say “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’”
