Where satan can blind you, he can succeed to bind you.
Every born-again child of God needs to realize that if you do not understand the way of the cross in obedience unto the death of the selfish, selfcentered life lived in the deception of the old man that’s being corrupted by the influence of various lusts and carnal desires, which causes you to be a prisoner of the god of this fallen world, then you will be ignorant and blinded from the reality of the kingdom of God and the Father’s desire for you to be transformed until you operate in the divine nature of His Son Jesus Christ. Godliness and holiness should come natural to the born-again child of God.
2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
3 according as His divine power has given to us all things that [pertain] to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue,
4 through which He has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that by these you might be partakers of [the] divine nature, having escaped the corruption [that is] in [the] world through lust.
He called us after His design and purpose.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to [His] purpose.
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestinated [to be] conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be [the] First-born among many brothers.
God’s kingdom invades our lives through the ministry of the cross by which principalities are dismantled and stripped of their power to influence us to sin.
Colossians 2:9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And you are complete in Him, who is the Head of all principality and power,
11 in whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ,
12 buried with Him in baptism, in whom also you were raised through the faith of the working of God, raising Him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,
14 blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross.
15 Having stripped rulers and authorities, He made a show of them publicly, triumphing [over] them in it.
We are not under the old legalistic legislation of the law which exposes the bondage of the fallen Adam and his need of a Savior. By the blood of Christ we are brought into the power of a grace that does not only save us, but also divinely works within us to change us into the likeness and image of the One who died for us.
Ephesians 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in [the] Lord, that you should not walk from now on as other nations walk, in [the] vanity of their mind,
18 having the understanding darkened, being alienated [from] the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.
19 For they, being past feeling, have given themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But you have not so learned Christ,
21 if indeed you have heard Him and were taught by Him, as [the] truth is in Jesus.
22 For you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,
23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.
24 And you should put on the new man, who according to God [was] created in righteousness and true holiness.
Satan in his craftiness has caused many Christians to camp on the level of salvation and to live ignorant of the ministry and the power of the cross by which the Father disciplines and disciples His children in the way of the cross until we bring forth the fruits of righteousness. See Hebrews 12
Glorification unto resurrected sonship out of the old order of the earthy Adam can only be attained and realized if we press on to know Him as the Apostle Paul declared Philippians 3:7 But whatever things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
8 But no, rather, I also count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them [to be] dung, so that I may win Christ
9 and be found in Him; not having my own righteousness, which is of the Law, but through [the] faith of Christ, the righteousness of God by faith,
10 # that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death;
11 if by any means I might attain to the resurrection of the dead.
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect, but I am pressing on, if I may lay hold of that for which I also was taken hold of by Christ Jesus.
13 My brothers, I do not count myself to have taken possession, but one [thing I do], forgetting the things behind and reaching forward to the things before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
