You shall know them by their fruits.

By Pieter Kirstein

Through the parable in Mark 4 Jesus reveals the importance of an obedient life because the only “Thank You” acceptable to the Father for what He did for you on the cross is exactly that my friend – YOUR OBEDIENCE. Only you can determine the outcome of your entire life and destiny by the level that you surrender yourself to God, 30, 60 or 100 fold.

The kingdom is divided into 3 groups of Christian people. The 30 fold outer court fleshly babies. The 60 fold inner court developing, on their way to fruitful maturity, children and the Holy of holies fully mature 100 fold manifested sons of God.

30 fold babies
60 fold children
100 fold sons

I say to you as God’s servant, “Do not allow Satan to steel and destroy the eternal harvest of your destiny because you chose to be wise in your own eyes and stiff-necked. Many Victor’s Crowns have been stolen and are hanging in the balance because God’s people refuse to give heed or pay attention to His holy counsel.

God showed me an open eye vision of the gardens of His people’s hearts. Then Jesus told me that He will hold each one of us accountable when we stand before Him in the judgment for every seed of His precious word which He gave of which He expects a harvest.

Then He showed me the condition of the hearts of most Christians and I saw these huge bags of seeds standing outside of the fence of their hearts.

These are the seeds which they failed to plant within the soil of their hearts because of pride, arrogance and half-heartedness and also they chose to be stiff-necked.

Adjective: stiff-necked

Haughtily stubborn • a stiff-necked old Boston brahmin

≈ obstinate, stubborn, unregenerate

He tells us in Jeremiah 4

1 “If you will return, Israel,” says the LORD, “if you will return to Me, and if you will put away your abominations out of My sight; then you shall not be removed;

2 and you shall swear, ‘As the LORD lives,’ in truth, in justice, and in righteousness. The nations shall bless themselves in Him, and in Him shall they glory.”

3 For thus says the LORD to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem, “Break up your fallow ground, and do not sow among thorns.

4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem; lest my wrath go forth like fire, and burn so that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Adjective: fallow

Left unplowed and unseeded during a growing season • fallow farmland
≈ unbroken, unploughed
Undeveloped but potentially useful • a fallow gold market
≈ undeveloped, unexploited

John 12:46 I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me may not remain in the darkness.

47 And if anyone hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

48 He who rejects Me, and does not accept My words, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke will judge him on the last day.

Mark 4

1 And again He began to teach by the seaside. And a large crowd was gathered to Him, so that He entered into a boat in the sea, and sat down. And the whole crowd was on the land by the sea.

2 And then He taught them many things in parables, and told them in His teaching,

3 “Listen. Look, the sower who went out to sow.

4 And it happened, as he sowed, some seed fell by the road, and the birds came and devoured it.

5 And others fell on the rocky ground, where it had little soil, and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of soil.

6 And when the sun came up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

7 And others fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

8 And others fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing; and brought forth thirty times, and sixty times, and one hundred times.”

9 And He said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.”

10 And when He was alone, those who were around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parables.

11 And He said to them, “To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables,

12 that ‘seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest perhaps they should turn and be forgiven.’”

13 And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? And how will you understand all of the parables?

14 The farmer sows the word.

15 And these are the ones by the road where the word is sown; and when they have heard, immediately Satan comes, and takes away the word which has been sown in them.

16 And these in a similar way are those who are sown on the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy.

17 And they have no root in themselves, but are short-lived. Then, when oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble.

18 And others are those who are sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word,

19 and the cares of the age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

20 And those which were sown on the good ground are those who hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times.”

21 And he said to them, “Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not put on a stand?

22 For there is nothing hidden, except that it should be made known; neither was anything made secret, but that it should come to light.

23 If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.”

24 And He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you.

25 For whoever has, more will be given, and he who does not have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.”

26 And he said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the earth,

27 and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he does not know how.

28 The earth bears fruit, first the blade,(the 30 fold babies) then the ear,(the 60 fold children) then the full grain in the ear.(God’s mature fully developed 100 fold fruitful sons)

29 But when the fruit is ripe, immediately he puts forth the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

30 And He said, “To what will we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable will we use for it?

31 It’s like a mustard seed, which, when it is sown upon the soil, though it is less than all the seeds c that are upon the soil,

32 yet when it is sown, grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts out great branches, so that the birds of the sky can lodge under its shadow.”

So the Father wanted a family and He planted a SEED (Jesus) and we are the fruit of that amazing sacrifice.

Please disciple and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth understand then that the main purpose of any plant (you and me) is to reproduce new life through the manufacturing of many seeds and we do this by sowing ourselves into the kingdom and the purposes of Almighty God. We cannot claim to be followers of Christ then only want to live for ourselves.

How do you expect the Father to cultivate your obedience into a fruitful harvest if you want to serve Him on your own terms?

It takes a sacrifice to obey God by turning away from and choosing to sacrifice everything that threatens to destroy the eternal harvest of your destiny.

His intense desire is to bring forth a glorious harvest through your sacrifice by making you fruitful in His kingdom. So many Christians are withholding what rightfully belongs to God, THE SEED OF THEIR LIVES.

Remember what the scripture says in 1Cor 6:19-20 What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

God showed me this horrific reality. If I am Satan, I do not have to physically kill you to destroy you as a child of God. All I need to do is to cause you to live for yourself. What will be the consequences of this?

Through your disobedience Satan prevents the seeds of God’s truth to be sown into the soil of your stubborn heart and he destroys your kingdom purpose and the eternal harvest of your destiny.

There are nations within our spiritual wombs as the called bride of Christ and Satan is after those nations and how will the great commission be fulfilled when everybody wants to live for themselves?

We should be ashamed of ourselves.

Remember then, to call yourself a Christian means that you identify yourself with Christ in becoming like Him.

God the Father said to me, You are the generation that has been given the prophetic key to unlock the final harvest within the earth.

This key works in the following manner. As the bride comes into agreement with her Husband by embracing the covenant requirements of the cross of self-abandonment and she releases the seed of her life through an intimate love relationship, He in turn responds by becoming one with her through a sacred union.

Then the Lord God impregnates the seed of her life and this principle births and brings forth the nations.

In other words, the final harvest are the children that will be birthed through the marriage of Christ and His devoted bride as heaven and earth becomes one. As she abandons herself to her King, she becomes one with Him in vision, desire and purpose.

Are you a true follower of the Lord or have you been deceived through the traditions and doctrines of men and lulled to sleep by a false gospel?

The truth which you just read is exactly what the Son of God meant when He said, Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Me.

The seed of your life must be sowed into the will of God so that He may bring forth a harvest of souls through your love-offering. As a child of the Lord we have a great responsibility to make ourselves available in His service so that our God will be glorified through our lives. There is only one gospel to live by and it is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

If I cut an apple open then you will be able to count the amount of seeds inside. Then if you put just one little seed in the middle of your hand and you look at it, you will never be able to count all the apples in that one seed. This is called the law of multiplication.

Let that seed represent your life. As you apply the water of His word to your life through your obedience, He will cause you to grow into a beautiful fruit-bearing plant and when God can get your fruit, it will mean plenty of new seed (more lives being saved) will come forth from it because fruit carries seed.

So then it is important to realize that it is a universal law that any seed must get water so that it can germinate, develop and become a mature fruit-bearing plant so that the result will be many new plants.

The moment that the seed dies (a surrendered life), the law of multiplication will be activated and the seed will be on its way to bring in a bountiful harvest (of new souls). Just as any loving parent it is the will of our heavenly Father to bring His sons to maturity so that He can release them into His harvest field. (Luke 9:56-62)

This Mark chapter 4 is the foundation parable of the entire teaching ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Living Word.

Every faithful seeker of the truth needs to understand the power, the reality and the urgency in this chapter of the Bible because as the Lord asked in verse 13 Do you not understand this parable?

How then will you understand any parable?

Understanding is the principle thing in the whole teaching ministry of our Lord because without understanding the disciple will not know what the Teacher is trying to teach or impart.

How can we be taught without understanding?

If we understand then we can respond to the power and the reality of truth because our very life depends on it. Through this parable the Father wants the followers of His Son to grasp the importance of listening, and listening in such a way until we receive the necessary insight of what Jesus is saying.

This spiritual insight only comes from the Holy Spirit because He is the Mentor in your life. If we understand what the Lord is saying to us then we can respond the truth that will change our lives.

Is your devotion and desire toward God shallow or are you a sold-out believer?

If sold-out then ask Him today to plunge your life into the very depths of Christ.

How will any child become successful in life without understanding and how will any child become schooled without proper education?

The greatest problem on this planet is our lack of listening and therefore it is so very important to understand this awesome parable.

Many times we only hear but never listen.

So let us make the decision to become radical with the Lord in our obedience by asking God to deliver us through the power of His conquering love and to raise us up to walk in the fruitful maturity of His love.

God’s love aways brings forth a powerful harvest.

Jesus is God’s communication to His creation and if we fail to understand what the Lord is revealing in Mark chapter 4 the enemy will surely have a foothold in our lives and keep us bound in our ignorance of the truth.

Where the devil can blind you, he can also bind you !

This chapter should be established as a foundation in the heart of every believer because true faith is always demonstrated through radical obedience.

The Truth can only set you free if you allow Him entrance and to take up full residence and full control and true ownership of your entire life and heart; this is why, when He was speaking of the good soil people in verse 20, He said these are those sown on good ground, who hear the Word and welcome it, and bear fruit, one thirty, one sixty, and one a hundredfold.

In other words, you will produce the fruit of righteousness in your life, as you walk with God, to the extent that you allow Him to cultivate your heart 30, 60 or 100 fold, so we need to allow Him to farm and foster the growth of His word so that it may bring forth the required fruit to the glory of our God and until we all come to maturity to walk as Jesus walked.

What are these fruits?

In verse 24 of Mark 4 the Lord said, Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you, and to you who hear, more will be given.

More will be given, in other words the obedient children that allows the Lord to work change and transformation into them through regeneration will increase more and more as is stated in 2 Corinthians 3:18, from glory to glory until we manifest the beautiful fruits of a 100 fold mature son who are led by the Spirit of God in the similitude of Jesus the firstborn Son.

Isaiah 61 and Acts 10:38 must be our vision and goal.

Isaiah 61

1 The Spirit of the LORD is upon me; because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up a the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and an opening of the eyes to the blind;

2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;

3 to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.

Remember that the main purpose of any plant (you and me) is to reproduce new life through the manufacturing of many seeds. (many souls being saved)

Acts 10:38 even Yeshua of Nazareth , how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

We ourselves become living epistles known and read by all men.

This is an awesome calling as a born-again child of God to become a walking living epistle and in the fear of God we must walk worthy of this calling.

If we resist the writing of His laws in our hearts and in our minds then we blaspheme His name amongst the nations of the earth. An obedient heart will reflect a life filled with the glory of God.

It is to His glory that we bring forth and manifest the fruits of righteousness because as Christians we are not self-centered ignorant people.

We do not live to please ourselves but we live to please our awesome God.

To allow Him to write His laws on our hearts and minds means to allow God to change us by the power of His truth to eventually become the manifestation, the expression, the voice and demonstration of the living Word.

Religious people only have head knowledge of the WORD and no PRESENCE of the WORD within their hearts. What does it help to only talk well of God or to only talk about the truth but then fail to demonstrate His word and His truth by becoming the truth. We become the truth if we allow ourselves to be changed by the power of the truth.

We read 2 Corinthians 3:2-18 You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men, it having been made plain that you are the epistle of Christ, ministered by us, not having been written with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not on tablets of stone, but in fleshly tablets of the heart. And we have such trust through Christ toward God, not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God; who also has made us able ministers of the new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit makes alive.

But if the ministry of death, having been engraved in letters in stone was with glory (so that the sons of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses because of the glory of his face), which was being done away; shall not the ministry of the Spirit be with more glory?

For if the ministry of condemnation is glorious, much more does the ministry of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. For if that which has been done away was glorious, much more that which remains is glorious.

Then since we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech. And we are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of the thing being done away. (But their thoughts were blinded; for until the present the same veil remains on the reading of the old covenant, not taken away.)

But this veil has been done away in Christ. But until this day, when Moses is read, the veil is on their heart. But whenever it turns to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. And the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord Spirit.

Remember the journey of a tree in Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law does he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.

An obedient life will bring forth beautiful fruit and as people taste Christ in you they will be drawn to Him.

The great and glorious eternal God gives Himself to us through His revealed word and as we embrace Him through our obedience by asking Him to change us through the power of His truth, we allow the Lord to manifest the glory of His new covenant in and through our lives because what really matters is a new creation, a life that is fully transformed, renewed and fruitful.

Hebrews 10:15 The Holy Spirit also is a witness to us: for after this He had said before,

16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord, I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

As a loving Father He wants to unveil Himself in His beloved children, a glorious people, a royal priesthood and a holy nation declaring the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

How will a lost world ever know that our God is real unless we allow Him to reveal Himself in us and through us?

Many reckon seeing is believing because they are Spiritually blind, dead and deaf.

This is God’s answer to them – Ezekiel 36:23 And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD, says the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

This should be the personal testimony of every born-again child of God – Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,

16 To reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Are we not called to walk as children of light and did He not say that there can be no fellowship between light and darkness?

Light cannot enter darkness unnoticed and therefore we have a responsibility to let our light so shine that people may see the reality of our God in our lives. Our presence in the earth should stir a sinful world toward repentance.
