The longer we walk with God and the more He uses us for His purposes and glory, the more we need to grow in humility
IT STARTS WITH HUMILITY AND ENDS IN HUMILITY
PRIDE STEALS THE GLORY THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO IT. A VESSEL IS ONLY A CONTAINER FOR SOMETHING ELSE.
Man can never take the credit for what only God can do in ministry.
2 Corinthians 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
Let Christ be your only standard !
God said to me ” I don’t use you because of who you are. I use you because of who I AM.”
Stay humble because He can speak through a donkey if so desire.
Whenever you compare yourself to anyone contrary to the Lord, to who’s image and likeness we all are to be conformed, YOU ARE IN DECEPTION and have fallen to the sin of competition and pride.
Whenever you judge others in comparison to yourself, of how long you’ve walked with God, WHICH IS ONLY BY HIS PROVIDENCE AND GRACE, whenever you compare your bank acount or the size of your church or how many scriptures you can quote, how many demons you’ve witnessed the Spirit of God deliver people from, how many ministry hours you’ve laboured in, how far you think you’ve advanced in righteousness and holiness or how anointed you think you are in comparison to others THEN MY FRIEND YOU’VE BEEN DECEIVED because just take your eyes of yourself and anybody else and simply ask yourself the question – How does my walk and my life compare to Jesus because I say to you that in the LIGHT and the TRUTH and in the GLORY and in the MAJESTY OF GOD we all fall short and that is why the Apostle Paul declared in 1 Timothy 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has enabled me, that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and insolent: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 But for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for an example to them who should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
Let Christ therefore be your only focus and stay humble, always considering what you are without the grace of God, which is sustaining you, because you shall not be judged by the standard of anything or anyone accept Christ Jesus.
Luke 17:7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to eat?
8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready that I may eat, and gird yourself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward you shall eat and drink?
9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not.
10 So likewise you, when you shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
2 Corinthians 3:4 And such trust have we through Christ toward God:
5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.
2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
13 But we will not boast of things beyond our measure, but according to the measure of the field which God has distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
14 For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
15 Not boasting of things beyond our measure, that is, of other men’s labors; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be strengthened by you according to our field abundantly,
16 To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s field of things made ready to our hand.
17 But he that glories, let him glory in the Lord.
18 For not he that commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
1 Corinthians 1:26 For you see your calling, brothers, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yes, and things which are not, to bring to nothing things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made to us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glories, let him glory in the Lord.
