Patient endurance

Be patient with yourself.

By Pieter Kirstein

We all struggle with weaknesses, imperfections, shortcomings and faults because our foundations have been corrupted and are broken when we come to the Lord. Our foundations means the structures and the wrong thought patterns, the wounds because of abuse, the sinful nature and ways out of which we operate that are contrary to God’s design.

The Father said to me, ” it’s time that you see Me as a Father that loves you, as a God who’s grace is upon your life, not a God who is there to look every time you make a mistake. I am the God who created man and I understand the weaknesses inside of you but as you confess those weaknesses to Me I will give you the strength and the ability to grow out of those weaknesses”

Notice who does the work of regeneration and transformation within the people for whom Christ died to bring us into a personal love relationship with a merciful ALL POWERFUL God.

Ezekiel 36:23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD, says the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

24 For I will take you from among the nations, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgments, and do them.

28 And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.

29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the grain, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

Sanctification and growth unto perfection and maturity within the household of God is not about performance rather it’s about a loving transformation wrought into the weak, imperfect and sinful people whom the Father loves dearly.

When you start to be patient with yourself, forgiving, gentle, kind, gracious and merciful then my friend you will begin to understand the heart of God.
