The beauty of His love

The beauty of His love.

By Pieter Kirstein

1 Corinthians 13:6 Love rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.

Many say God is love then fail to submit themselves to Him in obedience because they know not the truth about His love. We all are blinded by our brokenness and don’t realize how much He desires to set us free by the power of His love.

His truth spoken through the power and beauty of His love is a complete offense to the way our flesh likes to operate because the sinful fallen nature of man is contrary to the holy nature of a righteous God, yet when embraced, it produces the divine power of God’s loving touch that works radical change and transformation into us, until we are brought into complete victory and freedom.

The love of the Father is revealed in His gift.

The love of His Son is revealed in the giving of Himself.

The love of His Spirit is revealed in His willingness and commitment to work in the lives of fallen men,
restoring them back unto eternal friendship.

The Lord said to me once, “There is a language in the kingdom of God, that the world and even the majority of the church do not know or understand, it is the language of love, His love, the perfect love, the love of the eternal God.

The love that calls us to lay ourselves down just like Jesus so that we might be consumed, possessed and filled by the power of His love.

How is it ever possible to comprehend, understand or fathom the love of God?

He loves the unlovable and He accepts and cherishes those even rejected by society. He is the God who is closer to the homeless than to kings. His love is unconditional and eternal.

We find different types of love in life and in this study we will look at a few. Eros love has to do with sensuality. It is physical and erotic. It yearns to have its own hunger satisfied. Phileo love is normal human affection toward anyone or is anything that is enjoyable and satisfying.

Phileo is emotional and unpredictable. It lasts as long as it is being gratified however once the pleasure or desire is gone, so is Phileo. Storge love is said to be loving affection that is to be developed, is human, emotional and also imperfect but Agape is the love that God has for mankind.

It is selfless, perfect, and unconditional and it is active and motivated by what it can do for others. It is not based on feelings but is constant and stable. It can love when hated. It can give freely regardless of ones attractiveness or worth.

The Lord asked a friend of mine one day, Who am I?

What is the core of My nature from which all other aspects of My character flow the root and reason for every decision I make?

I answer, LOVE.

He says, Go and learn what that is and you will know what I truly sound like.

He says, Remember that everything I say and do, every instruction I give will flow and reverberate from the core of My nature. I am not impatient. With kindness and gentleness I work awakening and submission into each of My children.

I am not quickly moved to anger or easily provoked by the rebelliousness or arrogance or fear of man. I don’t think of what judgment or punishment I should apply to get you to see the light. I am God Most High and I do not need to use intimidation tactics to drive you into obedience. You flowed out of the core of who I am which means that LOVE birthed you.

You are made to respond to LOVE.

Anything outside of this is not of Me.

He says, Be careful of throwing the term righteous anger around and ascribing it to Me. The core of Prides nature is self-righteousness and Pride is easily provoked to anger when it does not get what it wants.

Pride throws judgments around in an effort to intimidate into submission.

God told me that He doesn’t love us in the hope that we will change. He loves us because that’s His nature.

Change is the natural reaction of being touched by the power of God’s nature. Salt doesn’t have the intention of changing everything it touches. It just does because it’s salt.

God tought me that there isn’t one person in all of creation that can resist the true love nature of God. It’s what is inside them that keeps people in bondage through inward brokenness and pain and deep hurt that prevents them from responding to His love.

He does not come to kick and condemn us in our prisons of despair. On the contrary He invades our pain and darkness through the piercing power of His burning love.

This is why we see the ministry of Jesus Jesus declared in Isaiah 61:
1 The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3 To provide for them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

God says, I am never disappointed by mans initial inability to receive My Love because I do not love with expectation. I love because that is My nature. It is also the true nature of My children by default of being pulled out of Me. Once My children learn to operate in their true natures, they will truly be the salt of the earth. Everything they touch will change.

So one question remains: Is it our true nature (unconditional and sacrificial love) to stand in the gap for those whos true natures are being held in bondage by the enemy, come what may? Christ is our example. He operated in His true nature (unconditional love) even to the point of death (come what may) without one single expectation.

He did this because Love is who He is.

Let us choose to love like the Lord no matter what by crying out to be emptied of ourselves so He might fill us with His love.

There was this man who saw a scorpion floundering around in the water. He decided to save it by stretching out his finger, but the scorpion stung him. The man still tried to get the scorpion out of the water, but the scorpion stung him again. Another man nearby told him to stop saving the scorpion that kept stinging him. But the man said, “It is the nature of the scorpion to sting. It is my nature to love. Why should I give up my nature to love just because it is the nature of the scorpion to sting?”

Don’t give up loving. Don’t give up your goodness even if the people around you sting you. The greatness comes not when things are always going well for you. But the greatness comes when you’re really tested, when you take some knocks, some disappointments, when sadness comes… Because only if you’ve been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

“I love Thee, I love Thee
and that Thou doest know;
But how much I love Thee,
my actions will show.”

A certain farmer had an unusual weathervane on his barn. Inscribed on the arrow were these words: “God is love.” A passerby turned in at the gate and asked the farmer, “What do you mean by that? Do you think God’s love is changeable; that it veers about as that arrow turns in the winds?” “Oh, no,” replied the farmer, “I mean that whichever way the wind blows, God is still love.”

Jesus spoke to me;
“Did I not say in John 14 that I would come to those who demonstrate their devotion toward Me through an obedient heart?

Yes indeed, I love to inhabit a holy surrendered heart because so I have ordained it to be My eternal resting place. This is why I call those who love Me the temple of the Lord. Their hearts becomes the altar of eternal worship in the kingdom of My Father and their devotion towards us is like sweet incense before My throne.

I treasure a heart devoted towards Me because My love fills such a heart and is the greatest gift to man. “
