The challenge of His love

To follow Christ is really to allow ourselves to be challenged by the power of His love.

His love is a much higher, enduring, passionate, all consuming, pure in it’s intentions, fully devoted to you kind of love.

Can we claim to love God but then become offended by His call to take up the cross and follow Him in obedience unto the death of self, until His Spirit rooted out and destroyed every fleshly, sinful carnal wicked desire and thing in us used by the devil to distract us from being truly in love and sold-out to Him?

Are we so shallow in our walk and devotion toward the God who sacrificed and gave up all to demonstrate to His followers just how serious He is in His devotion toward us?

Is Jesus Christ just good enough and used by people to get them safely into heaven, to pay for them to live the good life while His children are caught up and pre-occupied with their own selfish ways, plans and earthly agendas while most are completely ignorant of the fact that God’s entire desire, passion and goal is to get them out of themselves and into the life of Christ which is a supernatural life lived out in the glory and power of His Spirit?

Is Christ only the Savior of His people?

If He truly is our King then do we think that He is pleased when His people live in ignorance and rebellion against His ways?

This generation needs to wake up and realise that most Christians are foreigners to God because they choose to dwell in the outer court of carnality and the sinful flesh.

If we become offended by the call to regeneration, transformation and sanctification then are we followers of Christ?

Does God go strolling with the devil and is He powerless to deliver us from sin and bondage?

It’s obvious that we all struggle with various sins, weaknesses, strongholds and brokenness until we are set free and until God has turned every weakness into the Strength of His Spirit because there’s sufficient mercy and grace for such but it’s time to grow up in the Lord so that God might do a mighty thing through us in this generation.

It’s time to get radical and serious with God because I testify today, to encourage you, that it’s an amazing thing to experience complete victory and freedom over the weakness of the flesh after one submit themselves to the work of the cross.

God is more than able to raise mature sons and daughters to walk in the freedom of His Holy Spirit.

Indeed the scripture is true in 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty and indeed Jude 24 is true – 24 Now to God who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory in great joy,
25 to the only God our Savior, through Yeshua Messiah our Lord, a be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

May we all be brought to the place by the grace and the power and the goodness of the Lord where we truly can say like the Apostle Paul in Gal 6:14 But far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

We cannot claim that we love God while we live as complete foreigners and strangers to Him while we choose to stay uncircumcised in heart. We stay foreigners and strangers when we resist the work of the cross that takes us out of the flesh so that we might walk in the Spirit and show that we truly belong to Christ.

This is the meaning of Galatians 5:24 Those who belong to Messiah have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

You must understand the power and the ministry of the circumcision wrought into us by the Holy Spirit. It’s called a Kingdom of God invasion through the power and the work of the cross.

What does it help to only have mind knowledge of the fact that God disarmed the entire Kingdom of darkness making a public spectacle of them triumphing over them through the work of the cross while Satan in fact keeps making a public spectacle of us because we don’t understand how to walk in the reality of what Christ made available to the church?

It is written in Colossians 2:9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,

10 and in Him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power;

11 in whom you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Messiah;

12 having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.

13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,

14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and He has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;

15 having disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

16 Let no man therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day,

17 which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Messiah’s.

This scripture reveals the fact of the finished work of the cross by which God disarmed and destroyed the entire Kingdom of darkness and nailed the old Sinaic Covenant with all of it’s rules and regulations to the cross of Jesus Christ.

It reveals that we do not have to live under the sinful bondage of the flesh any longer because God has opened the way for us through the power of the cross to walk in newness of life but you must be willing to be brought into the reality of it.

It reveals that we are not under the laws of Moses any longer because the law was powerless to change us and only served as a shoolmaster and tutor to point us to Christ and until a much better covenant could be introduced through the sacrifice of God’s Son and by that one perfect sacrifice fulfilled the the ordinance and the righteous requirements of the old law which was given to Moses that said without the shedding of blood there can be no remission for sin.

Jesus came to fulfill the law which means that God satisfied His own divine justice as a just God through the sacrifice of His Son because the law said someone has to die for the sins of the world and Jesus came to do just that so that by accepting Him as personal Lord and Savior we can be Spiritually born into the Father’s family through the incorruptible seed of His word to become partakers of His divine nature through Spiritual regeneration and transformation through sanctification.

Galatians 3:23 But before faith (in Jesus) came, we were kept in custody under the old law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

24 So that the old law has become our tutor to bring us to Messiah, that we might be justified by faith.(in Christ and His finished work of the cross by which the law was fulfilled)

25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. (the requirements of the old laws of Moses)

26 For you are all children of God, through faith in Messiah Yeshua.

Romans 5

1 Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Yeshua Messiah;

2 through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

We read about this propitiation work of God through Christ, which means He took our place in the following chapter of Hebrews 9

1 Now indeed even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service, and an earthly sanctuary.

2 For a tabernacle was prepared. In the first part were the lampstand, the table, and the show bread; which is called the Holy Place.

3 After the second veil was the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies,

4 having a golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which was a gold jar containing the manna, Ahrun’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant;

5 and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat, of which things we cannot speak now in detail.

6 Now these things having been thus prepared, the priests go in continually into the first tabernacle, performing their duties.

7 But into the second the high priest alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself, and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance.

8 The Holy Spirit is indicating this, that the way into the Holy Place was not yet revealed while the first tabernacle was still standing;

9 which is a symbol of the present age, where gifts and sacrifices are offered that are incapable, concerning the conscience, of making the worshipper perfect,

10 but deal only with foods and drinks and various washings; they are regulations for the flesh imposed until the time of setting things right.

11 But Messiah having come as a High Priest of the good things that have come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,

12 nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption.

13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh:

14 how much more will the blood of Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse our conscience from dead works (trying to justify ourselves before God through religious works) to serve the living God?

15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a New Covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. (CHRIST FULFILLED THE LAW)

16 For where a last will and testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him who made it.

17 For a will is in force where there has been death, for it is never in force while he who made it lives.

18 Therefore even the first covenant has not been dedicated without blood.

19 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the Law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, a with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the scroll itself and all the people,

20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.”

21 Moreover he sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry in like manner with the blood.

22 According to the Law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.

23 It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24 For Messiah hasn’t entered into holy places made with hands, which are representations of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;

25 nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own,

26 or else He must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, He has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27 Inasmuch as it is appointed for people to die once, and after this, judgment,

28 so Messiah also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for Him for salvation.

Romans 8

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Messiah Yeshua.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Messiah Yeshua (New Covenant) made you free from the law of sin and of death.(Old Mosaic Covenant)

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh;(Jesus fulfilled the law)

4 that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.(we now submit ourselves to God by being led, changed and empowered by His indwelling Spirit)

5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.(the Spirit reveals the mind and heart of God)

6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace;

7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God’s law, neither indeed can it be.

8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

So we see through the glory of the New Covenant we are introduced to the ministry and the power of the Spirit of God to heal, change, transform, renew and deliver us as is declared in Isaiah 61:

1 The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me;(JESUS) because He (THE FATHER) has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up a the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and an opening of the eyes to the blind;

2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;

3 to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.

We receive His ministry as we simply spend time with Him in His Presence as we pursue Him through personal intimate relationship.

Today most run everywhere but into the Presence of God.

Your heart’s desire should be like that of Mary in Luke 10:38 It happened as they went on their way, He entered into a certain village, and a certain woman named Marta received Him into her house.

39 She had a sister called Maryam, who also sat at the Lord’s feet, and heard His word.

40 But Marta was distracted with much serving, and she came up to Him, and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister left me to serve alone? Ask her therefore to help me.”

41 But the Lord answered and said to her, “Marta, Marta, you are anxious and troubled about many things,

42 but one thing is needed. Maryam has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
