The hope of His calling

You must understand the hope of His calling.

By Pieter Kirstein

The Holy Spirit revealed the following truth to me to give insight, revelation and understanding to be brought into an overcoming experience through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

After that we’ve been born-again into the level of salvation, the Father presents the opportunity to all of us to answer the upward call of God in Christ to receive the Victor ‘s Crown of the overcomer according to what Jesus declares in Revelation 3:21 To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and sat down with My Father in His throne.

This is the place and seat of the overcomer which James and John asked for in Mark 10:37 Grant unto us that we may sit, one on your right hand, and the other on your left hand, in your glory.
38 But Jesus said unto them, You know not what you ask: can you drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
39 And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, You shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized shall you be baptized:
40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.

Now carefully watch how the Lord has overcome and as you will clearly see as the Holy Spirit rightly divides the word of truth, THE PATHWAY TO THE THRONE IS THROUGH THE CROSS. Nobody can sidestep the call to take up the cross and expect to receive the crown of the overcomer. It’s an obedience wrought out in us unto the death of our sinful former way of life and to be presented as a worthy purified mature bride who have died to themselves so that they might live for God.

Matthew 10: 34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me: and he that loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.
38 And he that takes not #his cross, and follows after Me, is not worthy of Me.

Philippians 2: 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not a thing to be grasped to be equal with God:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Then in the following verse we are commanded to work it out and find out how this all comes together and to understand the practical application of the cross.

12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Then let’s read about this pathway to the throne into the victory of the overcomer in Ephesians 1 and as you shall see even though we have a positional reality through the finished work of the cross of Christ Paul prayes that the eyes of our understanding be enlightened that we might comprehend by revelation of the Holy Spirit what this hope is to which all the saints are called. Jesus indeed opened the way but very few actually enter. Many are called but few are chosen because most are blinded by their own ignorance and have fallen into complacency.

Now notice child of God that God invites us not to stay on the level of salvation after that we’ve been saved but to press on by taking up the cross so that you might attain the crown of the overcomer.

We read; 13 In whom you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,

14 Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power,

20 Which He performed in Christ, when He raised him from the dead, and set him at His own right hand in the heavenly places,

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come:

22 And has put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church,

23 Which is His body, the fullness of Him that fills all in all.

Now watch how the hope of His calling is illustrated to us within the life of the Apostle Paul after that Paul became a born-again child of God.

Nobody can claim to be crucified with Jesus Christ without the actual experience of a personal cross.

Philippians 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but rubbish, that I may win Christ,

9 And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

10 That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; (compare Romans 6:5-10)

11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if indeed I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Let us therefore, as many as would be perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything you be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

16 Nevertheless, to what we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them who so walk, since you have us for an example.

Then watch how the Apostle Paul bemoans the fact that most live as enemies of the cross of Christ because they only live to satisfy and serve their own fleshly lustful desires and appetites.

18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

20 For our citizenship is in heaven; from which also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:

21 Who shall change our humble body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working by which he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

We are brought into Spiritual fruitfulness and maturity through the disciplinary work of the Father, which is wrought into us through the administration of the ministry of the cross. All this constitutes working out our own salvation to find out what Christ made available unto us through the power of the cross until we grow into a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

Hebrews 12:5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives.
7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not?
8 But if you be without chastisement, of which all are partakers, then are you illegitimate children, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them who are trained by it.

Psalm 24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek your face, O Jacob. Selah.
